Veteran sports and business leader will help identify and develop opportunities across GameAbove Sports, 21X SPORTS and CapStone’s broader sports portfolio

ASPEN, Colo., Oct. 12, 2026/PRNewswire/ — CapStone Holdings Inc. (“CapStone“) today announced that Jeff Genyk has joined the company as head of sports ventures. Working across the portfolio and in collaboration with existing leadership, Genyk will help identify, evaluate and develop opportunities across GameAbove Sports, 21X SPORTS and other ventures across the industry.

“Jeff brings a valuable combination of business experience, sports leadership and relationship-building skills,” said Ashley Beal, chief of staff at CapStone. “He understands how to lead people, evaluate opportunities and work across organizations, making him a strong fit to help advance CapStone’s sports ventures through GameAbove Sports and 21X SPORTS.”

Genyk brings leadership experience spanning business, collegiate athletics and sports media. Before entering college coaching, he spent a decade in private business. He later served as head football coach at Eastern Michigan University and held coaching and football operations roles at Northwestern University, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Wisconsin and Vanderbilt University. His tenure included work with conference championship teams at Northwestern and Wisconsin. He also served as an ESPN color analyst for Atlantic Coast Conference football games.

Genyk holds an MBA from Western Michigan University and a master’s degree in education and social policy from Northwestern University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University, where he played quarterback and punter.
