Bolt.new, the StackBlitz platform that lets anyone build full-stack web applications through natural language, today announced its first acquisition: Dokai, a San Francisco AI startup that built autonomous agents for enterprise go-to-market workflows. Dokai co-founder Gerry Fernando Patia and the Dokai team join Bolt.new’s AI and machine learning organization, bringing production experience deploying autonomous agents inside enterprise systems.

The deal lands as Bolt.new’s enterprise business compounds: roughly half of its enterprise customers start building before their contract is signed, and the average customer deploys its first app within 34 days.

Terms were not disclosed.

A shared belief in autonomous agents

Bolt.new and Dokai were built on the same thesis: natural language can replace code as the primary interface between people and complex workflows.

Where Bolt.new lets anyone build software through conversation, Dokai applied the same paradigm to enterprise sales, building AI agents that executed prospect research, account tiering, and CRM enrichment on their own. Both companies built autonomous, action-taking AI systems. The difference was the domain.

Dokai’s agents worked in sales workflows. What Bolt.new acquired is the team’s experience building agents that act inside enterprise systems.

As part of the acquisition, Dokai’s agent technology becomes part of the Bolt.new platform. Dokai’s orchestration layer was built to let agents plan and complete multi-step work inside enterprise systems without a person in the loop. Inside Bolt.new, that foundation will strengthen how the platform’s agents handle complex, longer-running builds and how the applications customers create connect to the enterprise systems they already run, from CRMs to internal data sources. Enterprise customers will see the first capabilities built on Dokai technology in late fall. The acquisition deepens the AI and machine learning team behind those agents.
